Decibel Meter Pro App Reviews

Not accurate!

It is impossible for this app to be accurate. In a closed bathroom in the middle of the night just sitting there it read 60db. Ridiculous!!! It is nicely done for the graphics portion but for accuracy as a sound meter it is worthless. I definitely feel cheated out of 99 cents + tax.

App

Great app. Thanks for a free app !

Very useful

Very useful and pretty accurate compared to our theatre sound gear. Way better than guessing how loud the show really is.

No longer works with iPhone 5??

This app used to work with the iPhone 5 and now suddenly it is no longer supported? FAIL!!

Won’t Install

Even though they say it will install on iPhone 5 it won’t. As I just tried to update from previous version on my iPhone Im getting a warning that I can’t update on my phone, a iPhone 5. What gives?

Will not install

Not compatible with this iPhone.....

Skip it unless you have brand new

Used to be good, but theyve updated it to where I cant use it. Glad I got it free or I would be quite angry.

Will install on iPhone 5 now

Thanks for the update. Will now install on my iPhone 5. Simple operate, i.e.; peak and average reset by touching. Can be recalibrated if required. Thanks to the author(s)

dB Meter Pro

This ap now seems to work on my 2nd Gen iPad as well as my iPhone 5, and it seems to work very well although I lack the means to test its accuracy.

Useless

I have a number of test .wav files containing sound in the 17.5 -19 KHz range. This app doesn t "hear" anything in any of the frequency weightings available, while all the other (free) dB meters I tried, correctly detected the power output of the speaker (60-70 dB). Total waste of money. Uninstalling right now. Note: This is not something specific to this app since all the others seem to suffer from the same issue, but in standardazied measurement methologies, the Max is never greater than the Peak. Developers, better do your homework before asking $ for your crap. Its obvious now why this app doesnthave a free version for testing: nobody would pay a dime for this nonsense.

Love It!

I dont use the app often but when I do it is bang on I love it

Works as Advertised

Without a calibration standard, all measurements are only relative.

Nice job

Graphical presentation required

Functionality

After up-grading my iPad to OS ver7 the software has stopped working. It does not measure any signal anymore.

Good app

Can you add something like history or log, so we could see when or maybe where was the highest sound level. After that your app will have no questions 5 star rating.

Please correct the app

Can not upgrade to version 3.0.1 It says that the application is not compatible with iPhone. ?!?!?!?

Looks to be inaccurate. Reading too low.

I cant believe its accurate. I have a good idea of noise levels from working in industry. I established the readings in noisy environments are 10-20 dBa low.

Works for me

My needs are not exacting, but often they are less than just curiosity. Likey.

Very nicely implemented.

Presuming we can trust the calibration of a piece of consumer electronics, e.g. iPhone, iPad, lovely app to measure ambient noise & spikes.

Reinstalled to work after IOS upgrade

This meter was tested against calibration meter on iPhone 5s perfectly @ 0 bias and 0.1 s sample. After upgrade though a different panel came up.
